Dr. Edwards is a talented and seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in financial, project management, consultancy, psychological counselling and conflict resolution management. Dr Edwards’ appointment as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Go-Invest gives him the responsibility to lead, direct and coordinate the Administrative and Financial functions of the agency.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Edwards held previous positions which included Chief Executive Officer of SOS Engineering and Project Management. In addition, he also served as Chief Executive Officer of Modern Refrigeration Company. Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Voice –Guyana – Providing leadership and administrative direction for the agency as well as providing counselling and psychological support, assistance, coaching and mentoring services to clientele and psychologically challenged individuals with mental health issues. Apart from his executive responsibilities Dr. Edwards also served as Senior Lecturer at the American University of Peace Studies and Guyana Learning Institute.
Dr. Edwards served in the Guyana Defense Force and was decorated numerous times during his career with military honors of State Warrant, Border Defense Medal, Military Efficiency Medal and Military Commemoration Medal.
Dr. Edwards holds a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Silver Field University –USA. He is also a holder of a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the American Project Management Academy International, Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology, Master‘s Degree in Business Administration from Summer Lake University –USA, Bachelor’s Degree in General Psychology, Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies –Cuba. Dr. Edwards also completed studies in conflict resolution management, non- violent communication and electrical engineering.
Dr. Edwards is also a practicing Clinical Psychologist, his areas of expertise includes Counselling, Conflict Resolution Management and Project Management.
